The artist behind Takara is Jen Goff, a native of the West Coast from where her travels have led her all across the world. Jen’s working process is intuitive and expresses a desire to connect beauty with everyday life through objects of personal adornment. Inspired by traditional craft techniques, each piece is handmade in a small workshop in Portland, Oregon. Collections combine weaving, rope-making, and the traditional Japanese braiding technique, Kumihimo, with natural dye processes and hand-hammered metals. Takara means “treasure” in Japanese and nature has been a huge source of inspiration...I love anything that is slightly imperfect and sculptural.
