mother's day + mcmc fragrances

Show mom some love with a hand-crafted fragrance from our new MCMC Fragrances Stories Collection. To add a little extra heart we will happily personalize your gift with a custom-made label just for her.

It's simple:
1. Choose which of the 3 scents you think she might like. Noble is my favorite but they're all lovely.
2. Choose a size. Each scent comes in two sizes; the 10ml organic oil roll-on @ $45 and the 50ml eau de parfum spray @ $110.
3. Stop by the shop OR send us an email at hello@tasknewyork.com OR give us a call at (718) 963-2600...and we'll take it from there. We can also arrange for your gift to be shipped anywhere within the 48 continental United States (orders for shipping in time for Mother's Day should be finalized by 6:00pm May 5th).

MCMC, a small fragrance company founded in 2009 by Anne McClain, is dedicated to creating original perfumes made in small batches with the highest quality ingredients. Anne, who studied natural perfumery and aromatherapy before moving to Grasse, the “perfume capital” of France, for a more intensive study of the history, techniques, and practices of modern perfumery, is now based in Brooklyn.

The two main ingredients of intoxicating Indian jasmine and fiery, earthy vetiver oil from Haiti are a symbol of time spent in the beautiful and spiritual country of Nepal. Combined with rich almondy notes of chai tea, burning incense, amber and musk, the jasmine-centered Noble is a long-lasting floral woody with an ethereal drydown.

Maine is inspired by a day spent on the island of North Haven. Bulgarian rose absolute, local clary sage, wild Somalian myrhh and French seaweed absolute convey the fresh scents of sea, air, sun, pine, and the discovery of a single perfect rugosa rose.  Dries down into the musky scent of sensual skin coupled with sun-dried grass.

When Anne was younger she had a friend named Harrison, who she liked to call Hunter. Years later, memories of their long friendship and his adventures building maple sugar cabins in Vermont inspired the fragrance Hunter.  With tobacco absolute, organic Bourbon vanilla and fir balsam, this fragrance is best if worn with a flannel shirt.
